Starry Nights at Beecraigs Country Park

Beecraigs Country Park becomes a twinkling Christmas wonderland this December when the spectacular Starry Nights experience lights up the landscape.

The magical illuminated festive event comes to Linlithgow for the first time and is a truly enchanting adventure – just the thing to get the whole family into the Spirit of Christmas.

An unforgettable evening of festive lights and Christmas-themed soundscapes, Starry Nights invites you to embark on a thrilling trip through an immersive lighting trail with lasers filling the skies with the colours of Christmas. There’s so much to see and do for children and adults alike with Singing Trees, a fairy den, Marshmallow Land, Candy Cane Lane, the Snowball Blizzard and even the mischievous Grinch. Starry Nights is also host to Scotland’s longest star-shaped tunnel, a magical immersive experience that transports you into a land of sensory wonder.

After being dazzled by the trail, adults can warm up with a glass of mulled wine while the whole family marvels at the troupe of roving entertainers including stilt walkers and frozen fairies. All the fun of the fair also awaits with a range of rides suitable for everyone – everything from a large ferris wheel and family carousel to spinning teacups for the little ones or the twister for those who like to be shaken and stirred. Then put on your dancing shoes and bop the night away to Christmas favourites at the Elf Disco.

Throughout the evening there’s the chance to grab a bite to eat and indulge in a whole range of mouthwatering festive food and drink offerings in the Food Arena – flame-fired pizzas, venison and beef burgers, sweet treats from churros to crepes, waffles and toasted marshmallows. Or how about chestnuts roasting on an open fire? It doesn’t get more Christmassy than that.

But the one thing not to be missed is a visit to Santa’s Grotto.  He might be busy but he’s always got time to meet the kiddies. Pop in to check on Santa and his Elves as they prepare for the big day. Help the Elves make up a package of special reindeer food – essential for sprinkling on your doorstep on Christmas Eve –  and of course there’s always a special gift from Santa for every child.

Such a magical way to start the holiday season.
